Constitution of the Tokoname International Association
Article 1: Name
The organization shall be known as the Tokoname International Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Association").
Article 2: Purpose
The purpose of the Association is to promote international exchange within Tokoname City, foster global awareness among citizens, deepen international understanding, and build positive relationships with people around the world.
Article 3: Activities
To achieve the purposes set forth in the preceding Article, the Association shall conduct the following activities:
(1) Educational activities related to internationalization and international exchange.
(2) Development of human resources for international exchange.
(3) Collection and provision of information regarding international exchange.
(4) Provision of opportunities for cross-cultural exchange.
(5) Support for organizations engaged in international exchange activities.
(6) Other activities necessary to achieve the objectives of the Association.
Article 4: General Meeting
The General Meeting shall be convened by the Chairperson once a year. Extraordinary General Meetings may be held as necessary.
The following matters shall be decided by a majority vote of those in attendance at the General Meeting:
(1) Activity plans and budgets.
(2) Activity reports and financial statements.
(3) Amendments to the Constitution.
(4) Other matters deemed necessary by the Chairperson.
Article 5: Steering Committee
The Steering Committee shall serve as the deliberative and executive body of the Association.
(1) The Steering Committee shall consist of the board members stipulated in Article 6 (excluding Auditors) and several general members appointed by the Chairperson.
(2) The Steering Committee shall meet in principle once a month. A quorum shall consist of a majority of committee members, and decisions shall be made by a majority of those in attendance.
(3) To ensure the smooth operation of the Association’s activities, sub-committees may be established with the approval of the Steering Committee.
Article 6: Board Members
The Association shall have the following members, who shall be elected from among the members and approved by the General Meeting.
The term of office for officers shall be one year. Reappointment is permitted.

Secretary-General: 1
Article 7: Secretariat
The secretariat of the Association shall be located within Tokoname City.
Article 8: Membership
The Association shall consist of the following members who support the purposes set forth in Articles 2 and 3:
(1) Individual Members
(2) Supporting Members
Article 9: Accounting
The expenses of the Association shall be covered by individual membership fees, supporting membership fees, subsidies, donations, etc.
Individual Membership Fee: 2,000 yen per unit, per year.
Supporting Membership Fee: 10,000 yen per unit, per year.
The fiscal year shall begin on April 1 and end on March 31 of the following year.
Article 10: Miscellaneous
Any matters not stipulated in this Constitution shall be determined by the Chairperson in consultation with the Steering Committee.
Supplementary Provisions
This Constitution shall come into effect on June 20, 2022.
